Duplicate detector ready
Paste content and click Find DuplicatesPaste any long-form text into the input. Make sure paragraphs are separated by blank lines.
Use the slider to control how similar paragraphs need to be to count as duplicates — from exact to ~50% similar.
Switch between Annotated (highlighted) and Cleaned views. Copy or download the deduplicated result.
The Duplicate Paragraph Remover scans your text for repeated blocks of content, highlights them visually, and produces a clean version with duplicates removed — keeping either the first or last occurrence based on your preference.
The fuzzy matching mode uses similarity scoring so you can catch near-duplicates like slightly reworded sentences.
At 100% sensitivity it performs an exact, case-insensitive string match. At lower values it uses PHP's similar_text() algorithm, which measures how many characters two strings share, expressed as a percentage.
Any block of text separated from the next by one or more blank lines. Single line breaks within a block are treated as part of the same paragraph.
The detection and cleaning logic runs server-side via a lightweight PHP API call, but your data is never stored, logged, or shared. The request is processed and immediately discarded.
When a duplicate is found, you can choose to keep the first occurrence (default) and discard all repeats, or keep the last occurrence and discard all earlier copies.
Use 100% for exact duplicates. Drop to 80–90% to catch minor rewording. Go as low as 60–70% for heavily paraphrased repetitions — though false positives increase at lower values.
There's no hard limit set by this tool, though very large documents (100k+ characters) may take a moment to process depending on server load.
The tool strips HTML tags before processing, so it works on HTML-formatted text. Markdown symbols are treated as plain text and will be preserved in the output.
Yes. The comparison is based on string similarity rather than language-specific rules, so it works with any language that uses Unicode characters, including Vietnamese, Chinese, Arabic, and more.
A duplicate paragraph remover is a text processing tool that scans a document for repeated blocks of content and removes the extra copies, leaving only one instance of each unique paragraph. Whether you're editing a blog post, cleaning up a content export, reviewing an AI-generated draft, or merging multiple documents together, repeated paragraphs are a common and frustrating problem that this tool solves in seconds.

Duplicate paragraphs are surprisingly common across many content workflows. When you copy-paste sections between documents, merge multiple drafts, export content from a CMS with repeated template blocks, or post-process AI-generated text, repetitions often slip through. Large language models in particular tend to restate the same ideas using slightly different phrasing, which can inflate word count without adding value.
In SEO, duplicate content within a single page can dilute keyword focus and confuse readers. In professional publishing, repeated paragraphs make writing feel sloppy and undermine credibility. This tool helps you catch and clean those issues before they go live.
This tool supports two modes of duplicate detection:
Choosing the right sensitivity depends on your use case. For technical documentation where precision matters, stay close to 100%. For creative or marketing copy where paraphrasing is common, try values between 75–85%.
After processing, the Annotated view shows every paragraph colour-coded:
You can then switch to the Cleaned view to see the final result with all duplicates removed, ready to copy or download as a .txt file.
By default, the tool keeps the first occurrence of each paragraph and removes any later repeats. This is usually the right choice — the original phrasing tends to be the intentional one. However, in cases where a document has been revised and the later version is preferred (for example, a refined rewrite near the end), you can switch to Keep Last mode to preserve the final occurrence instead.
AI writing tools frequently summarise the same point multiple times — at the start, in the body, and again in a conclusion — using slightly different words. Running your draft through this tool with a 75–85% fuzzy threshold will surface those redundant sections quickly.
When combining multiple drafts or pulling content from multiple sources into one document, the same paragraph can appear several times. Exact match mode will catch any literal duplicates resulting from this process.
Some content management systems include repeated boilerplate, disclaimer text, or template sections in exports. This tool strips those repeated blocks cleanly without manual scanning.
Long email sequences often reuse introduction or sign-off paragraphs. If you're reviewing a bulk export of emails, this tool can quickly identify which paragraphs appear more than once across the document.
If you're cleaning up text content, the Duplicate Line Remover operates at the line level rather than the paragraph level — useful for code or list data. The Text Diff tool lets you compare two documents side by side and see exactly what changed. For content analysis, the Word Counter and Text Statistics tools give you detailed breakdowns of your writing.
